Hey, I’m Kyle ?
I’m a travel runner who turned a single 10k in Thailand into a passion for exploring the world one trail at a time. From ultra-marathons in the jungle to runs through red rock canyons, I’ve logged miles in 20+ countries and over 15 U.S. national parks.
Now, I’m on a mission to help others find freedom, adventure, and joy through running — without the overwhelm. Whether you’re looking for trail guides, race recaps, or packing tips, I’ve got your back.
From Zero to Travel Runner: How It All Started
I didn’t grow up running. In fact, I kind of hated it.
I was a small-town Ohio guy who avoided the track like the plague. But everything changed when I moved to Phuket, Thailand, in my late twenties. One day, my fiancée (then girlfriend) and a friend convinced me to sign up for a 10K. I trained just enough not to collapse — and somehow, I crossed that finish line with a big, goofy smile on my face. I was hooked.

From there, running became my way of exploring. Whether it was the beaches of Vietnam, the jungles of Costa Rica, or the mountains of Albania, I found myself lacing up my shoes and heading straight into the wild. What started as a simple 10K turned into a way of life.
Why I Started The Travel Runner
After running in over 20 countries and 15+ U.S. national parks, I realized something: it’s hard to find helpful info for people who want to run when they travel.

I made this site to fix that.
Whether you’re training for a race while abroad, hunting for runnable trails in a national park, or trying to pack light but still bring your gear — I’ve been there. And I’ve made plenty of mistakes along the way. I want to share everything I’ve learned, so you can skip the headaches and soak up the joy of running somewhere new.
